Chris Moyles has revealed he is worried about his foul language being exposed on the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! The Radio X DJ has admitted he is more concerned with his potty mouth than any creepy-crawlies or Bushtucker Trials he may have to face on the ITV hit show.

The former Radio 1 star has lifted the lid on what he is most scared of when commencing his stint in the jungle.

Chris explained: “My biggest concern is the fact that in real life I swear a lot. I really enjoy swearing and I think swearing done properly and in the right context with the right word can be really funny.

“It is something that we’re not allowed to do on the radio so there’s a switch, which goes on subconsciously on the radio that I don’t swear like when you’re meeting your girlfriend’s parents for the first time – you just don’t.

“But in real life I do and that’s my only worry that I might be a bit sweary, especially if I’m a bit scared and hanging by my ankles over alligators there’s a very good chance.”

Chris also gave an honest assessment of his expectations on being crowned King of the Jungle this year.

He said: “I am not going to win. I don’t think I’m going to win. It’s not even on the agenda.

“It’s not even in the back of my mind of ‘you never know’ – I genuinely don’t want to go first and anything else is a bonus.

“If I can get to the second round of evictions, then I’ll be happy. Also let’s not blow the whole ‘Ant and Dec wanted me to do this for years’ thing out of proportion.”

The veteran DJ added: “They may have said, ‘Yeah it’ll be great if he did it’ once but let’s be real.

“If they were to have a hit list of who they’d want in, maybe Elton John and Alan Shearer would be higher up the list than me but they’re going to be delighted I’m in there.”

Ahead of the launch show on Sunday, the outspoken star took a swipe at presenters Declan Donnelly and Anthony McPartlin.

When asked how he is looking forward to the Bushtucker Trials, he admitted he’d like the Geordie duo to do them instead.

Chris joked: “If Ant and Dec want to swap with me for 24 hours, I am happy for me and one other campmate to host the show whilst they live in the jungle.

“I am offering that up right now! Ant will be ok but Dec will probably struggle because he is just so small.”

He also reflected on his relationship with the cheeky presenting pair.

Chris remarked: “The moment I see them, there could be a lot of giggling. I have known the boys for a long time and they are brilliant.”

He continued: “I just have this vision in my head that I am going to be in a coffin with rats whilst Ant goes, ‘How are you feeling?’

“And I will reply, ‘You know exactly how I am feeling, let’s just get on with it you little terrors!’”

Chris will join Boy George, Loose Women’s Charlene White and the former health secretary Matt Hancock among many other familiar faces in the series which returns to the jungle for the first time since 2019.
