Combat! legend Jack Hogan dies aged 94 after starring in 110 episodes of show & appearing in Magnum P.I & The A-Team – The Sun | The Sun

TV star Jack Hogan, known for his role in over a hundred episodes of series Combat!, has died aged 94.

The American actor reportedly died of natural causes at his home in Washington.

Hogan's son confirmed the tragic news to Variety after the TV legend died last week.

Alongside his role as PFC William G. Kirby in all five seasons of the 1960s show Combat! – he starred in other hit shows and films.

The 94-year-old had enjoyed roles in Magnum P.I and The A-Team.

He also acted in Lawman, Adam-12, Sierra and Hawaii Five-O.

The actor, born Richard Benson, got his pilot's license and joined the US Air Force before making his TV debut.

Hogan also served for four years in Japan during the Korean War.

And the actor worked as a lifeguard at a hotel in Beverly Hills before getting his big break onscreen in 1956.

The TV legend died at his home on Bainbridge Island, near Seattle.

Hogan also guest starred in countless other shows in the 50s, 60s and 70s including The Adventures of McGraw, Broken Arrow, Colt. 45, Cheyenne, Marcus Welby and M.D., Kojak.

He was married to model and actress Joyce Nizzari in 1967, but the couple split in 1980.

The actor later married Barbara Bates.

He is reportedly survived by his son West Hogan and daughter Tehani Hogan, as well as two grandchildren and his ex-wife Nizzari.
