Coronation Street fans ‘figure out’ Stephen’s downfall as he hides evidence

Coronation Street fans think they've worked out how cobbles killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) will be finally caught out.

Evil Stephen has already killed three Weatherfield residents – Leo Thompkins (Joe Frost), his dad Teddy (Grant Burgin) and Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo).

So far he's gotten away with the murders as he is yet to be caught by police, despite making enemies with residents such as Tim Metcalfe who have vowed to bring him to justice.

Corrie fans are desperate to see Stephen exposed for his murderous crimes, especially as he's started terrorising his ex-girlfriend Elaine Metcalfe, spiking her drink and plotting her death.

He's also tried drugging Carla Connor in a desperate attempt to steal the Underworld factory from her.

But many fans reckon they've worked out the key to Stephen's downfall after spotting a hidden clue in the background of a recent scene.

As fans will know, Rufus' estranged wife Lou Donahue has grown suspicious about her husband's death when she found a tie pin with his belongings.

And Stephen had steal it back on Monday (August 14) after realising the tie pin belonged to him and that it could connect him to the murder.

In a bid to throw people off of his tracks, he threw the tie pin down a drain, but eagle-eyes viewers are confident they saw a mysterious figure in the background watching his suspicious actions.

And they're convinced it's none other than Tim himself.

It comes after Stephen was pictured attempting to flee Weatherfield, with his actor Todd filming dramatic scenes at an airport.

The dodgy businessman can be seen at the check-in desk as he attempts to make a swift exit from all the murderous mayhem he's caused.

The on-set photos seem to suggest that his dark past is about to catch up with him.
