CORONATION Street favourite Ryan Connor arrived back on the cobbles this week after heading off to Ireland to see his mum.

The young DJ has been under immense stress and pressure in the aftermath of his horrific acid attack.

Having attempted a return to work at the Bistro, it quickly transpired that Ryan, played by actor Ryan Prescott, could not handle it after a few unfavourable words from a customer.

To compress from the incident, Carla sent him off to have a few weeks with his mum Michelle overseas.

Upon his return to Weatherfield, Ryan seemed bright and jovial and confessed to spending £300 on new gym equipment in a bid to stay in shape.

However, it appears that a dark secret is lurking for Ryan.

As he got to work in his room, Ryan continually looked at the size of his muscles and his impressive body in the mirror.

He seemed content but not fully satisfied as he made a call to a mystery person.

During the call, it was clear that something was amiss as Ryan kept many of the details under wraps.

He told the person on the other end of the line that his next parcel should be sent to his Weatherfield address as opposed to his Irish one.

Ryan also added that he would use the same fake name on the parcel.

It is likely to be the start of Ryan's difficult journey with steroid addiction.

Soap bosses have already confirmed that Ryan will take on such a plot and whilst it was not explicitly mentioned last night, it seems that things could be about to get a whole lot more complicated for Ryan.

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV.
