Coronation Street favourite risks homelessness after losing both of his jobs | The Sun

TIMES are hard and only getting harder for one iconic Weatherfield resident.

Coronation Street stalwart Sean Tully recently lost both of his jobs and risks homelessness again, years after finding stability.

The fan favourite portrayed by Antony Cotton was left preoccupied when the Rovers Return Inn, where he worked as a barmaid, was shut down, marking the end of an era.

Matters went from bad to worse when serial killer Stephen Reid sabotaged business at the Underworld factory and Carla Connor had no choice but to fly away to Spain in an attempt to salvage a money-making contract.

Unfortunately for workers like Sean, this means that finances are becoming a prominent issue.

Combined with raising his teen son Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne), Sean is facing a string of harrowing moments to come.

Coming up next week on ITV, Dylan surveys his packed lunch with disdain.

At Sean’s suggestion Dylan goes for a job at the Kabin delivering newspapers.

The lad gets the job but unfortunately, he becomes another target for bully Mason (Luca Toolan).

As Dylan sets off on his paper round, Mason approaches with some girls and makes fun of him.

When Leyla sticks up for Dylan and points out that at least he’s earning some money, he throws her a grateful glance.

In later scenes, Mason tries to stir up trouble again when overhearing how George Shuttleworth’s house will be empty for a couple of days while his sister Glenda’s away.

Mason puts pressure on Dylan to steal the keys so they can throw a party – but will he go along with it?

If Dylan was to go along with Mason's plan, this could mean further trouble for Sean but this wouldn't be the first time the beloved character fell on hard times.

In 2018, Sean was living with Fiz Stape but was asked to move out when she wanted a fresh start with Tyrone Dobbs.

Concerned he'd be troubling her more than anything, Sean accepted without owning up to the fact he was in no financial position to move out and had been lying about having a job for months.

Sean was able to find a place to stay with Liz McDonald but she backtracked when he betrayed her by taking over her job at the Rovers.

He was eventually reduced to begging on the streets, taking up a tent Kirk Sutherland had thrown in the rubbish.

Mugged and beaten, Sean found a friend in the form of prostitute Carol but his ex Billy Mayhew became involved and helped him find a home.
