Coronation Street: Ryan leaving Weatherfield
Coronation Street’s Ryan Connor (played by Ryan Prescott) has embarked on a fitness journey and started taking steroids, but could be set to gain another addiction in the form of social media.
In upcoming scenes, Ryan calls at the Rovers to apologise to Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) after having an argument and calling her names.
Clearing the air, they join Jenny Connor (Sally-Ann Matthews), Carla Connor (Alison King), and Maria Connor (Maria Longchambon) who are raising a toast to Johnny Connor (Richard Hawley).
Wanting to mark the moment, Carla takes some selfies on Ryan’s phone and uploads them, but she accidentally includes a naked torso shot of Ryan.
Noticing what has happened, Ryan’s furious and storms out of the Rovers leaving Carla concerned.

Later, Ryan shows Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoigne) his new social media account and explains how he posts pictures of his gym body.
He explains that he posts without revealing his face and he’s received hundreds of likes already.
Could Ryan be heading down a dark path and become addicted to social media and the way that he looks?
His addiction could turn sinister as he attracts unwanted attention and could get a stalker of his own, like Daisy.

If he does, will Daisy be there for him like he was for her and guide him through the trouble?
Last night, Carla questioned why he decided to get the gym gear to which he said he was finally in the mind frame to get back into shape.
What she didn’t know was that he had a secret delivery of steroids and could soon become addicted to them.
Touching on the long-term implications of the attack and steroids, Ryan told Express.co.uk and other press: “It’s going to change his life forever.
“It changes the way he interacts with the world. The respiration period and the recovery period are so long if not life-long.
“It’s psychotherapy and physiotherapy for many years, if not the rest of your life. PTS, trauma therapy and learning simple things.
“I think that despite the massive shift that the incident causes, he is determined to not let the experience defy who he is.
“I think he somehow wants to find his way back to that infectious spirit that he once had, but it’s a long road.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
