Coronation Street: Carla Connor fires Stephen Reid
Ever since he arrived back on the cobbles, Stephen Ried (played by Todd Boyce) has hidden his dark streak and managed to stay under the radar following three murders.
The Coronation Street villain has killed three people and it seems murder could be on his mind again.
The conman has been suing Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) to scam her out of her money, and when it seems as though she may no longer be useful to him, he could end up making her his next victim on the ITV soap.
Elaine’s son Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) has been suspicious of Stephen from the start, and he soon finds out he was right all along.
If Elaine ends up dying following Stephen’s actions, will Tim be able to prove Stephen was involved?
In Coronation Street scenes yet to air, Owen (Ben Hull) strides over to Stephen after realising he’s not been honest.
After a frank discussion with Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), they’d both like to know why he told them each a pack of lies.
As Stephen scratches about for a plausible reason, Owen tells him that once he takes over the factory, he’s fired.
The criminal then warns Carla Connor (Alison King) against selling the factory but she insists that she has to for the sake of her mental health.

When Elaine snaps at him and spells out that she will never invest a penny in the factory and they should simply enjoy their retirement, Stephen masks his fury.
Unaware that Stephen’s replaced her blood pressure pills with caffeine pills, Elaine is left exhausted and jittery.
Handing her a glass of water, evil Stephen reminds her it’s time for her pills.
Carla warns Stephen that if he doesn’t come up with the money quickly, she’ll sell it to Owen.
Feeling the pressure, Stephen laces Elaine’s tea. After telling Stephen she doesn’t feel well, he feigns concern and offers to get some food.
Alone and overcome by dizziness, Elaine stumbles and hits her head. Stephen returns to find Elaine unconscious on the floor.
As he quietly backs out of the flat, has Stephen killed again?
Tim shares his suspicions about Stephen and later confronts him, demanding details about what happened to Elaine.
Coronation Street continues on Wednesday at 8pm on ITV.
