CORONATION Street fans were left shocked after finding out the incredible age gap between Audrey Roberts and Gail Platt.
The pair have become iconic residents of the cobbles over the decades.
However, Coronation Street viewers were stunned when they discovered their baffling age gap off-screen.
During Wednesday's instalment of the Manchester-based program, viewers realised the lack of difference between Sue and Helen's ages.
The stars are only seven years apart as Sue celebrated her 78th birthday on November 23, 2021, while Helen blew out her own candles, as a 71-year-old, on January 7, 2022.
Jumping on to social media, many viewers have shared their astonishment.
"Just checked, in real life Audrey is 78 and Gail is 71!", one of them wrote as a second agreed: "They both look amazing!"

The actor, 32, has landed a role in a new theatre production just weeks after bowing out of the ITV soap.
Charlie shared his exciting news with his fans today – revealing it was something his mum really wanted him to do.
He explained: “When I first announced to my (utterly bewildered) parents, about 1000 years ago, that I wanted to make a try at being an Actor, my Mum (presumably after the shock and disappointment had worn off) gave me three provisos, if this was the path I wished for myself.
“Three things she wanted for my life and career.
“Very pleased to say that, as of today, I've ticked the second off that list.
“This theatre, with this material, with this combination of people involved. I can't wait to get started. ❤”
EastEnders’ Cheryl Fergison unrecognisable in latest snaps
EASTENDERS star Cheryl Fergison looked worlds away from her character Heather Trott at a VIP festival launch.
The actress stared in the hit soap between 2007 and 2012.
Cheryl, 56, was one of the famous faces who attended the Tatton Park Pop Up Festival in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Wimbledon is set to start next week.
On Monday 27 June, the first matches of Wimbledon start on BBC One meaning EastEnders will move to BBC Two for a while.
The show will still be on its normal days at 7:30pm.
