WITH a father as ruthless as Rick Neelan, it's no wonder some people would take out their grief on Kelly Neelan.
But when he realises the wayward teen is in danger, Gary Windass almost kills again next week in Coronation Street.
Only a small circle of Weatherfield residents know about Gary (portrayed by Mikey North) is capable of taking a life.
The character is part of the Street's most notorious serial killers and his murderous streak made an appearance for the first time as he was trying to take loan shark Rick Neelan down.
However, by taking in Rick's daughter Kelly (Millie Gibson), Gary made himself a promise to take care of her without ever telling her the truth about his actions.
Thankfully for him, Rick's estranged wife Laura Neelan took the blame.

But when the wayward teen goes missing after trying to do right by the people her father wronged, the former military appears ready for bloodshed.
Next week, Gary and his wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) realise Kelly never came back home.
He then puts two and two together when Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) tells them Kelly went to see another one of her father's former clients.
Meanwhile, Kelly is handed a phone by one of her abductors called Kieran who tells her to text Gary to tell him she is well.

Kelly comes up with a way to let Gary know she's in danger through her text by asking him to tell her mother (who died of cancer in earlier episodes) that she is safe.
Gary immediately knows something is wrong while Kieron tells Kelly he wants the rest of her father's money.
The thug calls Gary from Kelly's phone and tells him that if he wants to see Kelly alive ever again, he'll need to come up with £50k.
Gary scapes together £24k in cash and heads off to meet Kelly's kidnappers to hand them the money.
However, both Kieron and Ross make it clear to him he will have to find the rest of the money or Kelly's life will be hell.
