Coronation Street: Paul struggles to lift his wine glass
Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has shared his fears for Billy Mayhew’s future after some upcoming wedding fallout.
On Monday night’s instalment of the ITV soap, viewers watched Billy marry Paul Foreman (played by Peter Ash) in the Bistro.
However, after the ceremony, Paul surprises his new husband by revealing he’s found a vicar willing to marry them on the sly in a church.
Despite knowing it’s against the rules, Billy decides to go ahead and the pair tie the knot once again in front of all their family and friends.
However, it looks as though more people will find out about the secret ceremony as a polaroid of them exchanging vows gets left at the church.

Spoilers reveal Billy is set to be suspended by the church indefinitely for breaking the rules as same-sex weddings in churches are not allowed.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk and other media publications, the soap star touched on what’s in store for Billy after the suspension.
He said: “Billy is still being paid, so that’s good. He’s only suspended, he’s not fired. So he still has an income coming in, if they stopped his income that would’ve been a whole other layer of stress added onto it.
“Billy’s quite resolute about the fact that, ‘This is where we’re at for now’, also he’s got no other skillset, he doesn’t know what the hell he’s going to do!

“He’d certainly have to retrain if he was going to do anything, I think that it gives Paul, them both some time together.”
Daniel highlighted Billy and Paul’s time together is precious and they’re making the most out of a bad situation.
He added: “Paul’s debilitation is changing all the time and getting worse all the time.
“So, Billy’s not just trying to be there for him for the physical depletions, his capability. It’s also the emotional changes and everything else that comes with that.
“I think they just hunker down and get on with it.”
It’s not yet known what’s in store for Billy following the rule break, although he’s set to ruffle a few feathers.
In scenes set to air this week, two parishioners will air their feelings to the newlywed, however, one person’s comments get the better of Billy and he sees red.
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV from 8pm.
