Coronation Street: Alya attacked in stabbing horror
Coronation Street youngster Max Turner (played by Paddy Beaver) was groomed by far-right extremist Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) which subsequently led to him being arrested.
The youngster was found to have made encouraging content on his laptop which led to follower Blake Myers (Adam Little) stabbing Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) during a refugee campaign.
After spending six months in the detention centre, Max is set to be released, but is Alya ready for his return?
In upcoming scenes, Lily Platt (Brooke Malonie) reveals that Max might be released today leaving Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) horrified.
She points out and reminds everyone that Alya almost died because of Max’s actions.
Max is soon told he is being released early and pushes his bed in front of his cell door, determining that he is not going anywhere.
David Platt (Jack P Shephard) tries to talk some sense into his son and through the door assures him that he wants to help and will be there to support him through the release.
Breaking down in tears, Max admits that he did some terrible things and he can’t face returning home where everyone will judge him.
After returning home, a police officer calls round and leaves Max filled with shame when he is fitted with an electronic ankle tag.
