Corrie: Lucy Fallon ‘excited’ as she returns to the cobbles
Coronation Street’s Lucy Fallon has returned to filming for the soap, three years after her exit from the cobbles.
The soap teased her return with a clip on their Instagram account of the actress revealing she’s back on-set filming as her character Bethany Platt.
In the video, Lucy, 27, says: “Hello everyone, It’s me, Bethany. It’s my first day back filming today, I’m very excited.
“A little bit nervous and I can’t wait for you all to see what Bethany is up to. Bye!” she signed off.
Alongside the clip, they wrote: “Look who’s back! Bethany returns with a whole new look.

“Watch out for her arrival on screen towards the end of the year. @lucyfallon #Corrie.”
Fans rushed to the comment section to share their opinions on the character’s return to the show.
One user wrote: “Cannot wait for this! I do hope Bethany and Sarah still fight like cat and dog, that was always so entertaining.”
Another soap fan said: “Love her!! Can’t wait to see her back onscreen,” while a third added: “I feel she’s back to cause trouble. Can’t wait x.”

Lucy made her professional acting debut on Coronation Street when she joined the cast in 2015.
She left at the end of her contract in 2020, with her final appearance airing on 4 March.
After the end of her relationship with Daniel Osbourne, Bethany decided to leave Weatherfield for a new job opportunity in London.
The star was involved in a number of high-profile storylines during her time on the show, including the grooming storyline which saw her character Bethany being coerced into sex.
She met Nathan Curtis, who was part of a gang involved in grooming young girls in order to be pimped.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV1.
