Coronation Street’s Michael Bailey is set to cause chaos for Carla Connor (played by Alison King) as Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) robs Underworld for his getaway plan.
In upcoming scenes, despite panicking about whether he will be able to get away without being caught, Stephen is calm and collected.
Needing money for his plan to work, Stephen tricks a trusting and oblivious Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) into enabling him to transfer the full balance of Underworld’s account into a bogus one he has set up.
Carla is stunned when she gets a notification about the transfer and attempts to find out what happened immediately.
The Platt’s are shocked when Sarah Barlow (Tina O’Brien) finally breaks the news that Stephen has been defrauding Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) and drugging Carla with LSD.

As Stephen attempts to leave his flat, he is sidelined by Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) who is furious and attacks him but is soon stopped when Audrey arrives and sends Peter packing.
Stephen’s relief at his mother’s arrival soon turns to horror and more panic when she accuses him of stealing her house, but how will he respond? Will he admit the truth to his mother?
Elsewhere, DS Swain (Vicky Myers) learns that Stephen brought forward his flight from Manchester to Bangkok to today and hurries to intercept him at the airport, but are they on time?
Elaine Jones (Paul Wilcox) reports that the Platts believe Stephen murdered anyone who got in his way.

Sally Metcalfe’s (Sally Dynevor) worry soon turns into panic when she realises Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) was one of the people in Stephen’s way.

Michael actor Ryan Russell recently opened up on the impact his character’s decision will have on his own future and the future of Underworld.
Speaking to Express.co.uk and other press, Ryan spoke on how Michael will feel about Underworld being in trouble and said: “I think he is just going to be like, ‘I cost Underworld thousands of pounds’.
“And thinking ‘How am I going to repay them? Is my job going to be in jeopardy?’ And Carla is going to bite his head off so he is scared.
“I think he finally felt like he was progressing in life with his designs, he got promoted, everyone kind of respects him in Underworld.
“So to lose that he will feel like he is back to square one again and the added pressure of being a single dad with Glory so financially it is a lot.”
When asked whether Carla will be forgiving, Ryan noted that Michael will have to face the “wrath of Carla” before realising she needs him.
