Following an epic stint in Coronation Steet, Dame Maureen Lipman, has revealed the details of her last day on set, admitting that she couldn't go on any longer.
In 2018, Evelyn Plummer waltzed onto the cobbles and quickly won the hearts of the nation.
However, having taken on the responsibility of playing the lead role in 'Rose' on the West End, at least for now, she has to kiss Weatherfield goodbye.

On May 12, the actress made an appearance on Loose Women to discuss her exit storyline, saying: "They've really put me through it the last few weeks."
She continued: "I've had seven scenes to learn a day. The last shot last night I literally lay on the floor and said, 'I can't go on'."
The show broadcast an image of Dame Maureen on the floor as she joked: "That is me at the end of yesterday, and now I'm here sparkling."
Luckily for die-hard fans, she guaranteed the panel that she will be back, having extended her contract last year.
In a recent episode of Corrie, Maureen had to say farewell to her beloved dog, Cerberus. And it goes without saying, that the death rocked the street, particularly impacting her friendship with cafe owner, Roy Cropper.
To her core, the performer loves the show, telling Reader's Digest: "I won’t hear a word against it. It’s full of quite exceptional actors working with very little rehearsal, very little direction.
"Am I envious of some of my peers? Sometimes, yes. Do I have the right to be? Of course not. Would I like to be in Sex Education? Yes, of course. Am I sorry I’ve signed up with Corrie for another year? No, I’m not."
