Corrie Len Cameron actor poses with soap icon in backstage snap ahead of exit

Coronation Street star Mark Murphy has shared a rare behind-the-scenes snap with Sally Dynevor.

The actor plays Weatherfield councillor Len Cameron.

He made his debut in October 2021 and has been seen around the cobbles on numerous occasions.

However, it was recently revealed that Len was bankrolling extremist Griff Reynolds' racist campaign as he wished to push the community into a right-wing stance.

Since joining the soap, Mark has grown closer to his co-stars and shared some pictures on his social media pages.

Mark captioned his selfie with Corrie icon Sally: 'Myself and the delight @sallydynevor during a break."

Unsurprisingly, his Instagram grid post from October 2021 caught the attention of his followers.

One fan commented: "Excellent Mark."

Another added: "Loved it mark caught up on it tonight xx well done."

A third person gushed: "Lovely photo Mark of you two."

In upcoming scenes, Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) tells Gary Windass (Mikey North) that Len appears to have had a change of heart and has agreed to fund the refugee centre.

Maria’s left annoyed when Len invites the press to photograph him handing over a cheque for the funding.

Suddenly, Spider Nugent (Martin Hancock) and a colleague screech up in a car wearing stab vests. Is Len's time up?

Away from Weatherfield, Former police officer Mark has also appeared in Double Take, Family Affairs, Little Britain, Heartbeat, Cutting It, Emmerdale, Dalziel and Pascoe, Crimes That Shook Britain, Holby City and The Line.

His film credits include The House, UFO Encounter, Parenting, Through a Child's Eyes, Captured, Shattered, Boy Hero, The Late Mr Baker, Spine Chiller, Letters to Evie and The Final Case.

He has also appeared on stage roles in 'Allo 'Allo, Beyond A Joke, Caught in the Net, A Bobby's Job, Cheerleaders, Who Goes Bare? A Chorus of Disapproval and The Lion in Winter.
