Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) decides to take action in Coronation Street soon after learning of Aadi (Adam Hussain) and Courtney Vance’s (Stephanie Davis) affair.
The truth was revealed during yesterday’s episode of the ITV soap, when Dev walked in on Courtney and Aadi kissing.
Dev was utterly horrified and pointed out how the affair could potentially impact him, given that he’s been working so closely with Courtney’s husband Darren (Ryan Early) over the past few weeks.
In tonight’s episode, desperate Dev tells Darren that he’ll have a word with Aadi and make him see sense but in a new week, it’s clear his son and Courtney aren’t showing any signs of putting a stop to spending time together.
At Dev’s request, Aadi suggests to Courtney that she makes a contribution to the household bills.

Courtney is evasive, but why?
Stephanie Davis previously told us that Courtney’s marriage with Darren largely consisted of her not working and using Darren’s credit card to get what she wants. Will she be reluctant to pay rent because she doesn’t actually have any money herself?
Or does it have something to do with how she really feels about Aadi?
Reflecting on what this means for Darren and Courtney’s relationship, Ryan Early said:
‘He’s not going to go running to her begging for forgiveness, begging her to come back, he’s going to try to match her in the humiliation stakes. He’s going to make her pay emotionally and also point out to her exactly what she’s losing and remind her that her life is going to be a hell of a lot less comfortable without him, without the attention and without the credit card.
‘He’s going to make this a hell of a lot worse before it can even start to get better.’
