Death in Paradise frenzy as Camille Bordey returns to set
Death in Paradise creator Robert Thorogood will be adapting his own novel, The Marlow Murder Club, into a TV series following the huge success of the BBC drama.
Samantha Bond and Doctor Who star Jo Martin will be leading the cast of the two-part series, which is set to air in 2024.
The show will not be available to watch on the BBC, however, as it has been slated for the Drama network and streaming service UKTV Play.
Samantha will play Judith Potts, a retired archaeologist who lives alone in the peaceful town of Marlow.
While wild swimming in the Thames, she hears a gunshot coming from a neighbour’s garden and believes a murder has taken place.
When the police are reluctant to believe her, Judith joins forces with local dog-walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) and unfulfilled vicar’s wife Becks Starling (Cara Horgan) as they start their own investigation.
They are eventually asked to help with the official police investigation, headed by newly promoted DS Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew).
Between them, they must solve the mystery in order to stop the killer in their tracks.
