Laila, who played Big Mo on the BBC One soap, sprained her ankle but was determined to get her kit off with the rest of the celebrities.
After being told by Ashley that she wasn’t going to be able to perform, the crew came up with the idea of a wheelchair for her to sit in.
She was wheeled out onto the stage covered in feathers before she began to cry overcome with the emotion of the support she received.
Laila told The Sun after: “Everyone was cheering and screaming and shouting, it was fabulous. I was choked — it made me cry.
“It was wonderful and made me feel good that I’d done it, I take my clothes off when I’m on holiday, so I’m not bothered about showing anything off.”
The Real Full Monty returns later this year on ITV.
