This Morning host Dermot O’Leary has been urged to leave the show amid the ITV and Phillip Schofield scandal.
Telly favourite Dermot, 50 has been a regular on the hit daytime show since 2021 and has hosted the Friday edition of the programme ever since, along with Alison Hammond.
But in recent weeks, ITV's This Morning has been at the centre of a media storm ever since its former host Phillip admitted to an affair with a younger male colleague.

Phillip revealed he had an "unwise but not illegal" affair with the runner while still married to his wife – and lied to his wife, friends and colleagues about it.
His former co-host Holly Willoughby returned to host This Morning on Monday (June 5) with Josie Gibson after Phil's ITV exit and told viewers she felt "shaken", "troubled" and "let down" by Phillip.
When Phillip quit, under-fire ITV bosses announced they’d be using a number of presenters while they made a decision on a permanent replacement
Since then, Dermot, whose career spans over two decades, has stepped in numerous times to co-host alongside Holly.
But it seems that if Dermot bagged the full-time hosting gig at This Morning, it could backfire on him.
In an exclusive chat with Will Hobson, PR Director at Rinse at Seven, the expert told Daily Star how Dermot “should be thinking about his future given the circumstances”.
“Alison and Dermot are fan favourites on this morning so I don’t think their positions are in danger,” Will said.
“However the show will be under some heat for quite some while so he should definitely think about diversifying where he presents.”
The expert noted how Dermot hosts a Radio 2 show over at BBC so he “should definitely be expanding his relationship with the BBC.”
A “perfect” example of this would be “a show like The One Show.”
The expert went on: “If I represented him that would be my recommendation to leave This Morning whilst his credibility is intact.
“Dermot is the new star of the show but he should be thinking about his future given the circumstances”.
