Cain Dingle and Caleb Milligan (Jeff Hordley and William Ash) haven’t had the best relationship in Emmerdale, but would Cain go so far as to try and kill his own brother?
Caleb left Cain, and several other Emmerdale residents, furious after slinging insults around in the Woolpack, following the exposure of his plan to bring down Kim Tate (Claire King).
Shortly after the dramatic slanging match, Caleb found himself at the bottom of a ravine in the woods, after a nasty ‘fall’.
Of course, viewers know that it wasn’t a fall at all, having seen a mystery assailant sneak up behind the hated character and give him a shove.
Having been sprawled out on the floor overnight, Caleb’s lifeless body was finally found by brother Cain some hours later, as he just happened to be passing through the woods…

Cain left sister Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) confused when he revealed that he had called an ambulance, but hadn’t accompanied Caleb to the hospital.
Determined to get some answers, she insisted on going to see him, with Cain reluctantly agreeing to drive her to the hospital.
Once they arrived, they were soon joined by a detective, who had a few questions for Cain.
He too found it strange that he hadn’t accompanied his brother in the ambulance, though Cain remained defensive, referring to him deliberately as his half brother.
He then revealed that he believed Caleb had been pushed and not fallen like Cain had suggested, and told him that he would need to take a statement at some point.
With the detective gone, Chas quizzed her brother on whether he had been behind Caleb’s attack.
