It’s the final week of Doctors before it breaks off for the summer and events take a dramatic turn in the last few days.
Firstly, the row between Scarlett (Kia Pegg) and Princess (Laura White) absolutely blows up.
Long angered by Princess’s ill-treatment of Scarlett, fellow receptionist Karen (Jan Pearson) becomes involved. She soon realises Princess is blackmailing Scarlett and the two take their case to Zara (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh).
Princess denies everything but ends up storming out of the surgery, pledging, like any true villain, that she, will one day return. Karen and Scarlett are over the moon to see the back of her.
It is a busy week and there are other stories too.
Rob (Chris Walker) helps a teenaged boy called Elias (Isaac Wiles) search for his missing brother. Ruhma (Barti Patel) gets dragged into the problems of an anxious expectant father and his wife (Matt Whitchurch and Bairavi Manoharan) and wishes she hadn’t.
Meanwhile, Daniel (Matthew Chambers) grows concerned that a Men’s Group which he had encouraged a patient (Barry Aird) to go to, is actively promoting anti-female views.
Next, a bombshell: The Mill itself is closed as Midlands Disease Control launches an investigation into whether it is the source of three cases of Legionnaire’s disease.
Sid (Ashley Rice) and Emma (Dido Miles) are angry and upset that Daniel and Bear (Dex Lee) did not let them know about the problem sooner.
Scarlett worries that she will be sacked but Bear reassures her. Al (Ian Midlane) tries to find out the truth about the outbreak from Lydia Palmer (Vicky Hall) who is investigating it.
Will The Mill ever open its doors again?
Doctors airs these scenes w/c Monday June 20 on BBC One.
