Patsy Kensit addresses return to EastEnders as Emma
EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw recently confirmed that some more characters who have been away from Walford will be returning – and it looks to be very soon.
Albert Square is set to see some familiar faces return as Chris managed to “convince” them to come back and reprise their iconic roles.
He told the Daily Star: “There will be some characters returning in the not-too-distant future. They will be announced soon. Watch this space.”
His decision to bring more characters back comes after the return of iconic villain Cindy Beale (played by Michelle Collins).
Cindy’s return in June sparked a social media frenzy and boosted viewing figures – but which fan favourites will be making their comeback to the Square?

Chris added: “We have got some new characters coming that are arriving soon,” looking as if the end of the year is expected to be an explosive one.
Alongside Cindy and Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), fans were delighted to see a brief return from Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Joss) and Fatboy (Ricky Norwood).
Lauren’s return was part of Cindy’s storyline as she was the first person outside of her family to know she was alive.
Fatboy also played a part in Cindy’s reprisal, although, his appearance was brief and was part of a flashback scene.

Fans had already speculated that he could be alive after Dot’s funeral, when a card was sent to her home which read: “Mrs B, forever in my heart, Arthur x.”
Another character fans have been begging to return is Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) and her son Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), who has been at the centre of two strong theories in recent weeks.
One saw that Dean was the secret boyfriend of Gina Knight (Francesca Henry), while the other suggested that he could be the Christmas Day victim when Linda gets her revenge.
EastEnders is yet to confirm who it is that will be arriving back in Walford, but whoever it is will be guaranteed to bring the drama.
EastEnders airs Monday – Thursday from 7:30pm on BBC One.
