EASTENDERS star Cheryl Fergison has revealed that she has "pitched" a brand new storyline to soap bosses in a bid to get her iconic character back on the soap.
The actress – who played Heather Trott on the BBC One soap from 2007 until 2012 – said she would love to reprise her role despite her character being killed off.
Cheryl, 57, said she has come up with a clever plot that could see Heather make an epic comeback, saying the producers are "missing a trick".
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Cheryl said: "I still watch EastEnders and I love watching it as a viewer.
"I would love if Heather's child came back to the soap to carry on her legacy.
"Another idea I have – I keep pitching it and nobody takes me up on the idea, I really think they're missing a trick.

"On the show I had a mother, she was pretty nasty and she used to sell babies with Aunt Babe in the caravan in Southend.
"Now, what if she had twins and gave one away and kept Heather and now Heather's dead and I could come back as the same actress but playing her twin.
"I could come back with baby George and carry that on."
The actress admitted that if that fails then she'd jump at the chance of joining a rival soap and knows exactly who she'd play.

"I would definitely go to a rival soap, I live up north so Coronation Street or Emmerdale would be perfect.
"I think I could play a long lost Dingle or in Corrie I could be a new love interest with Roy.
"Ken Barlow may be a little too old for me…one way or the other way a job is a job."
It comes after Cheryl wowed fans with her stunning appearance as she attended the star-studded premiere of the new Dirty Dancing stage show last month.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star flashed a smile as she posed on the red carpet.
Cheryl looked effortlessly chic in a black maxi dress teamed with a patterned shirt.
Heather Trott actress Cheryl first began playing her infamous character in 2007 before being brutally killed off in 2012.
Since then Cheryl has appeared in Celebrity Big Brother, David Walliams sitcom Big School and the BGT star's Christmas drama Hansel and Gretel After Ever After.
