Heather Peace, renowned for her role as Eve Unwin in EastEnders, has previously graced popular soaps like Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
The 48-year-old actress first appeared in the iconic BBC drama in 2021, portraying Stacey Slater's spouse, who she married while incarcerated. Stacey was locked up after Ruby Allen accused Stacey of shoving her down the stairs and deliberately causing her miscarriage.
Heather made her first dramatic appearance on the hit show when she punched Zack Hudson in the face in The Prince Albert. Before her stint on EastEnders, Heather had already established herself in the world of soap operas.

Her career in television took off in 1997 with a role in Emmerdale, where she played Anne Cullen, a teacher at Hotten County Primary School, educating characters like Andy Hopwood, Robert Sugden, and Donna Windsor. Eagle-eyed fans may also remember her from her role on Coronation Street, where Heather portrayed a character named Ali, a member of a mountain rescue team instrumental in saving Liam Connor's life during a harrowing incident in 2008.
Beyond these roles, Heather's acting repertoire includes performances in several other TV series. Following her time on Emmerdale, she appeared in The Bill and Dangerfield. Her diverse acting career also features roles in Holby City, Casualty, Heartbeat, and Waterloo Road.
Actress Heather recently reflected on her character Eve Unwin’s journey following her on-screen exit. Eve vowed to leave Walford never to return after Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) gave her a chance to live following Nish Panesar’s (Navin Chowdhry) attempt on her life.
Whether or not we’ve seen the last of Eve remains to be seen, but actress Heather Peace’s recent Instagram offering sees her reflect on her character’s storyline, particularly the importance of Eve and Suki’s storyline. “Sukeve reveal day,” she wrote, alongside a snap of her with Suki actress Balvinder Sopal.
"The secret is out! Nish knows! I love this story and the time and care that’s been taken by all the team @bbceastenders. Suki’s story has resonated with so many from what I’ve seen. The representation has meant a lot too through Eve presenting the way she does. So many thanks to the writers and producers for playing this story out in real time.”
She went on to describe the storyline as “precious” and gushed that she was “blessed. It’s been a precious thing, certainly for me, having not seen a love story like this when I was growing up. I feel blessed to have worked alongside so many beautiful actors too who also care about storytelling.”
