EastEnders fans are 'very happy' about Yolande's return

Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) is making a much anticipated return to EastEnders in the coming weeks, and fans are beyond thrilled.

It was recently announced that Patrick’s (Rudolph Walker) former lover would be making another appearance on Albert Square, following his exit some months ago to pursue a second chance with her.

Patrick very clearly still had feelings for his ex-wife, despite his affair with Pat Evans, and was determined to win her back.

Now, it seems that a reunion may indeed be on the cards as Yolande returns home to Walford after several years away.

The news of her return sent EastEnders fans into a spin, with many taking to social media to share their excitement.

Speaking of her return to the show, Yolande actress Angela Wynter said: ‘I have been really looking forward to playing her again and have had a beautiful time on set so far. I can’t thank the cast and crew enough for the warm welcome back.’

And it seems that show boss Chris Clenshaw is just as excited as the fans to have Yolande back, saying: ‘I’m thrilled to welcome the immensely talented Angela back to the role of Yolande Trueman.’

The executive producer also teased what may be on the cards for Yolande as she appears on our screens once more.

‘Although we haven’t seen Yolande for some years, her departure from the Square and the breakdown of her marriage to Walford’s living legend, Patrick, left some unfinished business between the pair.

‘We therefore thought it was important to explore a reunion between the two. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have her back!’
