EASTENDERS fans have been left devastated after a “giveaway clue” suggests that Walford favourite Martin Fowler is the mystery Christmas corpse.
A flash forward scene that aired back in February confirmed that Christmas day would be one resident’s last day in the Square. Since then, viewers have been pouring every detail to work out why the victim will be.
In the scene, blushing bride Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and Kathy Beale’s (Gillian Taylforth) all gather around a mystery body on the floor of the Queen Vic.
Stacey and Sharon are covered in blood while Denise holds a broken champagne bottle and the rest of the women watch in shock.
EastEnders fans have been brewing on the identity of the mystery victim, with likely candidates being Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara), Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry), or Keanu (Danny Walters). Although some fans have also suggested Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo), Ryan Malloy (Neil McDermott), or Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) as possible victims.
However, a new name has been thrown in the mix as an EastEnders fan took to TikTok convinced Martin Fowler (James Edward Bye) is actually the victim on the floor.

Their video illustrates that the song used in the background of the teaser video and the obvious flickering fire behind the women is a major callback to a previous Christmas episode.
The final scene of the Christmas Day episode in 2019 saw Martin standing behind an outdoor fire after the hit and run while the same song was playing.
The social media user then went on to theorise that the teaser scene EastEnders aired is only part of the story, and perhaps Stacey’s stalker Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) is actually responsible for killing her ex husband after he tried to defend her.
“This is definitely the best theory,” one soap user commented in support.

Another said: “I think you’re right because I thought I heard that Martin was leaving EastEnders and maybe they told him what was gonna happen and he stuck around.”
However, other EastEnders fans were quick to comment on the theory, saying it’s something they absolutely do not want to see happen.
“I swear to God, if it’s Martin, I’m done with EastEnders,” one BBC fan said.
“No chance, not Martin. If so, it’s the last time I’ll watch EastEnders,” another added.
A third commented: “No!! It can’t be Martin!! But this makes so much sense. I have a bad feeling you’re right.”
While a fourth proclaimed: “If it’s Martin, I will not watch EastEnders.”
Meanwhile, some other viewers weren’t convinced that Martin will be the Christmas corpse.
“I think Stacey and Sharon would look a little more broken if it’s Martin,” one fan suggested.
