EastEnders fans are convinced they may have ‘rumbled’ a shocking act of revenge in the coming weeks, as Walford icon Cindy Beale prepares to retune to the soap.
As regular viewers will know, Cindy Beale will be returning to Albert Square imminently, despite previously being presumed dead by her loved ones.
The famous villainess was revealed to be alive and well earlier this year, as it emerged she had actually faked her death in prison when giving birth to her child, after agreeing to be an informant for one of her cell mates.
In exchange for her co-operation, the police set Cindy free but placed her into witness protection, where she was given an entirely new identity and life in Spain.
Making a new life for herself, Cindy, now using the alias Rose, started a relationship with George Knight, with whom she had Anna and Gina Knight.
But for reasons currently unknown, Cindy decided to abandon her family without warning and soon vanished to France, where she later struck up a relationship with her ex-husband Ian Beale, despite having previously hired a hit-man to kill him at the height of their marriage!
As Cindy returns to Walford, many questions will no doubt be on the lips of her children and former friends, as everyone back home really did think she was dead.
Yet as Cindy reconnects with her old life, fans have predicted one Walford resident may get more than he bargained for, if she comes face to face with Ian’s son Bobby Beale, who previously killed Cindy’s daughter (and his own half sister) Lucy Beale as a child.
Bobby famously murdered his sister by bludgeoning her to death with a jewellery box, after he mistakenly thought she was coming to continue to taunt him.
As a result of his actions, Bobby went to prison for his crime, but fans are now convinced that Cindy herself may be looking for a more brutal flavour of justice.
Explaining how Cindy feels about Bobby on her return, Michelle revealed: "I can’t tell you too much, but I must say I’m so lucky with my family. I’ve got Peter, who’s played by Tom [Law], and Bobby, who is played by Clay [Milner-Russel] and they are just brilliant, I’m so lucky.
“ It’s difficult, that relationship. He did something and he paid for it, but it’s hard for Cindy to understand that. These are the things that we’re addressing and working through, but I have had some great scenes with Clay.”
Fans at home are already speculating that danger could be on the horizon for Bobby, with some fans even fearing Cindy may kill him if he’s not careful.
"I actually [am] more scared for the showdown between Cindy and Bobby – How will she react when she sees Bobby knowing what he did to Lucy. I hope it won't trigger his OCD again,” penned one fan.
A second also agreed adding: “Whilst Bobby is still Peter's brother, they share a different mother so Cindy has no obligation to be civil to the guy who killed Lucy.”
A third even took things one step further as they suggested Cindy may even try and provoke him to commit suicide, by adding: "My prediction is that Cindy will want revenge on Bobby and start a campaign of psychological abuse on him, bringing back his mental health issues and OCD.
“He will attempt suicide which will bring Jane back to care for him. Then Cindy will really want to get revenge.”
Will Bobby manage to avoid Cindy’s wrath? Or could a deadly showdown be on the cards?
