EastEnders set to reveal George Knights missing wife, as Cindy Beale returns

EastEnders is set to have an extra long episode in the coming weeks, for the reveal of George Knight's wife the BBC has confirmed.

The hit BBC soap will reveal who new boy George's wife Rose really is, as rumours swirl about a return for Cindy Beale.

Viewers don't have long to wait as the highly anticipated episode will air on Thursday, 22 June. The episode will have an extended run time and run for approximately 34 minutes.

Since the Knight family have arrived, George's soon to be step daughter Linda Carter has had her suspicions about the former boxer. She suspects that there is more to him than meets the eye and she has been doing all she can to work it out, but so far she is none the wiser.

But in the coming episodes viewers will watch as Linda asked Phil to do some digging on George's past. Phil agrees and he starts digging into George's past and that will reach its conclusion ready for the explosive episode on that Thursday.

Phil agrees to do the digging despite forming quite a friendship with the new joint land lord of the Queen Vic. However will what he finds out about his new pal change that friendship?

Fans of the show have been speculating that Rose Knight is in fact the iconic east end character Cindy Beale. It has been confirmed that Cindy will be returning to the Square, but in what capacity is being kept under wraps.

The Knight family is made up of George and his two children Anna and Gina. The trio arrived in Walford just weeks ago and they joined George's partner Elaine, who is the mum of pub landlady Linda.

George has impressed some of his new neighbours so far, after he started a collection for Lola's family following her tragic death. However his daughters have not got off on the right foot with their neighbours, as they try and bring the party atmosphere to Walford.

Since he has arrived George has also stepped things up with Elaine, asking her to marry her. The first time he popped the question was in the middle of the Queen Vic in front of everyone, stunned by the question Elaine walked away leaving him with no answer.

After talking to Linda, Elaine began to question George's intentions with their relationship. However after a heart to heart on a bench outside of the pub the pair got back on track, and when George asked that famous question once again Elaine said yes.
