FREDDIE Slater was shocked when his former teacher Theo Hawthorne told him he could have ADHD.
The EastEnders favourite has no choice but to face the reality of a potential diagnosis tonight on BBC One.
In recent scenes of the London-based drama, the lad portrayed by Bobby Brazier recently told his family that he was made fun of as a schoolboy by one of his teachers, Mr Hawthorne.
When he sought closure, the teacher not only apologised to him but also mentioned that he suspected Freddie may be unknowingly living with ADHD.
Freddie has struggled to come to terms with this possibility but in scenes airing tonight, his friend Bobby Beale (played by Clay Milner Russell) recommends he takes action.
The youngster agrees to meet with the ADHD specialist following an honest chat with his pal.

During the meeting, it becomes clear that Freddie has a lot of the tell-tale symptoms of ADHD.
The storyline began when Freddie unwillingly threw himself in the deep end by embarking on two dates on the same night.
Amused by the situation, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) had made a remark about his intelligence, or lack thereof, and brought bad memories of Mr Hawthorne back to the surface.
Jean found Freddie crying on his own and she realised how much the casual remark had hurt him, prompting her to apologise.

The cleaner was one of the first Walford residents to encourage Freddie to hold Mr Hawthorne accountable for the harm he caused him earlier this year.
Theo Hawthorne (West End star William Ellis), on the other hand, made it clear he knew he had wronged Freddie.
He explained that his class had been hard, apologising for calling Freddie "thick", "lazy" and even "stupid" and not being supportive of his ADHD – which the lad denied he had.
But could a professional surprise him even further by confirming Hawthorne's suspicions?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
