AFTER walking out of prison, avoiding a certain death, Phil Mitchell has become a police informant, much to his annoyance.
The EastEnders baddie played by Steve McFadden comes up with a plan to outsmart DCI Samantha Keeble and makes her life more difficult.
BBC One viewers were probably relieved when Phil Mitchell was freed from behind bars after he agreed to provide the authorities information on local crime.
But by agreeing to Samantha Keeble's deal, the tough man is aware he could be putting his family in danger – and he realises the detective (played by Alison Newman) may have another motive for enlisting his help.
Coming up, Ravi Gulati (newcomer Aaron Thiara) is looking for Phil all over the Square, including in Peggy's, from which he gets thrown out when Sam Mitchell reveals he's working with Suki Panesar.
Ravi waits for Phil at home and almost catches him on the phone to Keeble who is asking for names from him.

Once Ravi leaves, Phil knows it's time he takes a stand and phones a contact called Dodge (Eddie Weber) in a bid to try and get some dirt on Keeble.
In later scenes, the pair meet and Phil gets some information on Samantha Keeble.
However, he also knows some of his contacts are in danger and he warns Dodge to get out of the country before it's too late.
But he's soon reprimanded when meeting up with a fuming Samantha Keeble.
