EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has decided to reverse a recent hair transformation after admitting that she doesn’t feel like herself.
The Sonia Fowler actress recently dyed her dark hair a much lighter colour recently, with fans and friends saying how much they liked it.
‘Your hair looks fab,’ one fan commented in response to a video Natalie posted, with another agreeing, adding: ‘I was thinking the same!’
Despite the positive reaction, Natalie revealed that she is heading back to the hairdresser in order to go back to her original colour.
‘To everyone who’s said nice things about my barnet, thank you but I’m changing it back today,’ the actress wrote alongside a picture of her new look.
Her dark hair has been her signature look for a long time, and having been in the public eye since joining EastEnders in 1993, it has become very recognisable.
‘I’m pleased I tried going lighter but I just don’t feel like me!’ Natalie added, before joking, ‘My poor hairdresser!’.
Away from her hair woes, Natalie has been kept very busy at work, as character Sonia has embarked on a new journey with partner Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).
Sonia recently confided in Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) that she feared she may be pregnant, and was left horrified by Reiss’ very strong, negative views on having children.
When Reiss found the test, he accused Sonia of cheating on him, revealing that he was unable to have children of his own.
Sonia angrily revealed that the test was negative, and she would never cheat on him. After realising that Reiss must have had tests to learn that he was infertile, she came to the conclusion that he wanted children, just not with her.
Reiss soon proved her wrong by proposing that they try for a baby through IVF. While Sonia was all for it, they soon realised that it would be an expensive process, because Sonia already had a child of her own.
However, Reiss soon found the money when, unbeknown to Sonia, he opened up wife Debbie’s bank account.
If Sonia ever found out who was really funding her IVF, how would she react?
