EASTENDERS writer has confirmed THREE explosive Walford Christmases have already been planned.
Filming has already taken place for the 2022 Christmas episodes, which always feature big storylines.
However, some EastEnders fans may be shocked to learn that soap bosses plan so far in advance they have the next two festive seasons planned too.
Speaking to The Sun at the National Television Awards on Thursday evening, one of the show's biggest writers said: "It's all planned out.
"We've already done Christmas 22, 23 and 24. It's massive. This Christmas in particular is huge.
"We don't have to worry about budget, we just do the storyline and they take it from there."

They also teased what fans can expect from this year's Christmas episodes.
They said: "This year for Christmas is mad, it focuses around Janine."
Last month, pictures from the EastEnders set at Elstree Studios showed Albert Square decorated for Christmas, with a big tree in the middle of the square.
Fans will be on tenterhooks as they wait to see if Christmas will be the end for Danny Dyer’s character Mick who is confirmed to be exiting the soap.

Speaking to The Sun earlier this year, the actor appeared to hint at a Christmas exit.
Danny said: “It’s time to move on now. I’ll be very sad. I will be. It’s an emotional thing, you become very attached. But it’s time to roll the dice.
“Maybe it’ll come out at Christmas. When they get it right there ain’t no better show on the television.”
Meanwhile, Mick's partner Janine – played by Charlie Brooks – is also set to exit Walford.
The Sun exclusively revealed that Charlie, 41, who has played soap villain Janine Butcher on-and-off since 1999, will film her explosive exit this year.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun on Sunday, Charlie said: “I was only ever due back to EastEnders for a year, but when [exec producer] Chris Clenshaw presented me with his idea for the story, I couldn’t say no to staying a little longer.
“I’ve had an amazing time, as I always do when I go back.
“But as always with Janine, she probably should not outstay her welcome — for everyone’s sake.”
