Ellie and Vito win Strictly Come Dancing 2023
After 13 weeks of glitz, glamour and impressive routines, Strictly Come Dancing has come to an end for another year. On Saturday night fans of the BBC dance show watched as the remaining three contestants battled it out for the championship.
During the finale, viewers saw Coronation Street’s Ellie Leach, actor Layton Williams and EastEnders star Bobby Brazier take to the dancefloor one last time. However, the stakes were higher than ever as each couple had to dance three routines.
Ellie, Layton and Bobby were tasked with performing a show dance, a judge’s choice routine and their favourite dance from the series. From an American Smooth, a fast-paced Quickstep and an emotional couple’s choice, it was a finale to remember.
Along with the incredible dances from the finalists, fans were treated to a spectacular performance from pop sensation Cher. The cast of series 21 also returned to the dancefloor for one last group number.
However, the curtains have been drawn for yet another year as the champion has been named. Express.co.uk has everything you need to know about the Strictly Come Dancing finale.

Who won Strictly Come Dancing 2023?
This year’s Strictly Come Dancing winner is Ellie and their professional dancer Vito Coppola.
They were crowned champions and rose the Glitterball with Bobby and Layton finishing close behind in second place.
Overwhelmed by their win, Ellie was thrilled as she said: “I actually genuinely cannot believe this.”
Vito was highly emotional as he wiped tears away from his eyes as Ellie comforted him.
She told Tess: “This is the first time I’ve seen him cry and for once you’re crying more than me so this [the glitterball] is for you.”

Embracing one another in a huge hug, the audience erupted into applause as Claudia highlighted it was Vito’s first win on the show.
The presenter asked him how it felt as he replied: “I mean this is like the cherry on the cake!”
Looking at Ellie, he told audiences what she’s been through during her time on the show, such as blisters and bruises, but has remained amazing throughout.
Tess said: “We are so proud of you both, congratulations you have won the glitterball!”
It looks as though fans were also thrilled with Ellie taking the championship as it wasn’t long before fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
