Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) fears for her baby’s future in upcoming Coronation Street episodes, as this new video shows the moment she reveals to Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) that she’s experiencing blood loss.
It’s a stressful time for Adam right now. Not only is he trying to process Sarah’s affair with Damon (Ciaran Griffiths), but he’s also facing the prospect of not being the father to Sarah’s baby.
The week starts off a normal one for Sarah. She is securing a brilliant deal at Underworld and then heads home, but it’s at the flat where everything starts to change.
While Sarah is at work, Adam learns that one of the brothers Damon was involved with has been arrested for the murder of a local gangster.
Adam fears the victim might be Damon after contacting a gangster himself recently with the intention of scaring his new enemy away.
However, just as Adam goes to reveal what’s happened to Sarah, she reveals that she’s bleeding, which means a trip to the hospital is in order.
But what will the result be?
And if the baby is healthy, how will Adam react when he eventually receives the results of the DNA test?
‘I think he would find it too hard and that could be the end but if he sees Sarah living on the street walking around with a baby that’s going to be tough’, Sam Robertson said.
‘He’s been a good stepdad to Harry but that’s a totally different set of circumstances and I can’t see Adam being able to accept it, staying with Sarah and bringing up a child that’s Damon’s.’
‘It’s a real conflict of emotions because part of him thinks maybe this won’t be a bad thing, if the baby’s lost there’s no dilemma, but I think when they’re in the hospital the reality dawns that this is not a game it’s real life and the overwhelming emotion is one of wanting the baby to survive’, Sam explained, explaining Adam’s emotions as he heads to the hospital with Sarah.
‘He’s just grasping at anything he can hold onto in terms of getting the news that he wants but he’s in his own little world of delusion. The whole thing is just tainted now, it’s something he really wanted but the fact that it’s happened in these circumstances is really sad.’
