Emmerdale couple Charity Dingle (played by Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) ended up in prison during Wednesday night’s episode – and it could be all Moira Barton’s (Natalie Ann Robb) fault.
Moira tried to make amends with her brother’s bride-to-be by coming up with an idea to surprise Mack.
The farmer presented Charity with Mack’s dream vehicle from his childhood, but the pub owner ended up taking credit for the big surprise.
As things got hot and steamy between the couple, they were interrupted by a police officer who asked them whether the van was theirs.
However, things took a turn, when the copper explained the van could have been involved in a recent robbery – and the duo were quickly arrested.
As Charity and Mack sat in their prison cells, they reflected on whether they were right for each other.
Charity also fumed that Moira had set them up in a bid to stop their wedding from going ahead.
“I am telling you this now, if we miss a second of our wedding I am holding your sister personally responsible,” Charity shouted as she paced up and down her cell.
“This was obviously just a massive mix up,” Mack insisted as Charity ranted: “I will tell you something else as well. I am going to make this marriage work just to spite her.”
As the episode came to a close, the The Woolpack owner reflected: “Sometimes I feel like the whole world is against us. But I am not going to let anyone or anything stand in the way of our happy ever after.”

Many think Charity and Mack’s wedding day won’t go ahead because of Moira’s deliberate betrayal.
