Emmerdale exit for unsufferable villager after Kim Tate twist

Kim warns Cain she can report him to the police

Emmerdale fans bid farewell to Lydia Dingle (played by Karen Blick) on Friday night after Kim Tate (Claire King) confessed she was there when her horse killed Craig Reed (Ben Addis). During emotional scenes, Lydia said goodbye to Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and Samson (Sam Hall) after struggling to come to terms with Kim’s involvement in her rapist’s death.

The cleaner said she would be heading to her mum’s for a few weeks, meaning she would miss Christmas with the Dingle clan. Despite being angry at Kim, she wasn’t the only one to be there to witness Craig’s death, as Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) also saw the entire incident unfold.

Lydia was furious at Kim following her confession and banished her from the house and refused to go to work. However, towards the end of the episode, the Home Farm owner threatened Cain over what happened to Craig.

“You should be careful, you have seen what my horses are like when anyone upsets me,” Km told Cain.

“This isn’t funny,” Cain argued back as Kim replied: “Lydia is my friend, I couldn’t stand back watching her torment herself.

“But I meant it when I said this is done.”

As Cain went to walk away, Kim said: “I hope you haven’t forgotten that you still owe me for this or I might just remember seeing someone on my land after all.”

“It’s a bit late for that,” the mechanic said as Kim taunted: “I am sure I can come up with something if I needed to.”

However, following the episode, fans took to social media to share their thoughts with many pleading for Lydia to leave the village for good.

@KellyannBabes tweeted: “They’ve really made Lydia unlikable. #Emmerdale.”
