Emmerdale fans claim Charity knows about Macks betrayal

Emmerdale: Charity and Mack talk about children

There’s quite the love triangle on Emmerdale at the moment, with Chloe Harris (played by Jessie Elland) due to give birth following a one-night stand with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), on the very same day that he married Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins).

Charity has been supporting Chloe throughout her pregnancy, without knowing that Mack is actually the baby’s father. Or does Charity know more than she is letting on?

Monday night’s instalment of the ITV soap saw fans take to social media to share their thoughts on the dramatic storyline.

Some fans are convinced that Charity is playing the “long game” and actually knows about Mack’s affair and the fact that he is the father of Chloe’s baby, with them even predicting how the couple’s wedding day will turn out.

One fan took to Twitter to say: “Nate knows, Sarah knows, We all know. How doesn’t charity know already? #emmerdale.”

While another added: “Anyone else thinks Charity already knows and she’s playing the long game? #Emmerdale.”

A third fan even went as far as anticipating a rather climactic wedding day, to say the least, for Charity and Mack: “I still feel like Charity already knows, from the time she picked up Sarah’s phone from the bar, and it will do a flashback, on a very explosive wedding day #emmerdale.”

Lawrence Robb, who plays Mack, previously teased that whatever happens will cause quite the “explosion”.

He revealed: “He’s been stuck in that dilemma for quite some time and there’s always been things that have prevented him from doing so.

“I think he’s juggling all of that all the while keeping his huge big secret under wraps.

“It will come to a point where it all explodes. It always does. I don’t condone what he did and I never will.

“It is kind of Ross and Rachel [from Friends]. I think I’m more on the side of Rachel if I was to comment objectively if I’m honest.”

Emmerdale’s executive producer Jane Hudson explained in a preview: “I think one of our big stories is Charity, Mackenzie and Chloe and that triangle.

“I mean we always thought it’s not a question of if Charity will find out that Mack is the father of Chloe’s baby. But it’s when is she going to find out?”

When she does find out, “it is going to be explosive,” Jane confirmed. “There is going to be massive repercussions for all these characters which will carry us right into 2024.”

Fans will have to keep tuning in to see if their theories will come to fruition.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
