Emmerdale fans work out one of Nicolas attackers identity with village link

Emmerdale fans think they have figured out one of Nicola King's attackers' identity after she was mugged, beaten and left bloodied in harrowing scenes on Tuesday.

During the latest episode, Laurel Thomas, Nicola and Bernice Blackstock headed out to a bar in an attempt to find romantic suitors for Laurel and Bernice.

After leaving early, Nicola headed to the car park to drive home where she was accosted by a group of teenage girls on the way to her car where she was mugged, beaten and left bloodied and unmoving.

Soap watchers were left horrified over the harrowing scenes while other eagle-eyed fans were quick to speculate over one of the attackers' identity.

After Nicola had been attacked, a mystery person wearing metallic trainers approached her as she begged: "Please… no more."

To which the person whispered: "I'm sorry" before running away to join her friends.

Soap watchers now think that the mystery person could be someone in the village and Nicola will spot the trainers where she will be able to identify them – with some viewers even thinking it could be Chloe Harris.

Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Wonder if the girl with white trainers is Chloe? A wild guess IF Nicola recognises the same trainers in the village #emmerdale."

To which a different account replied: "I just wondered that too!!!"

Another follower wrote: "Nicola will recognise the trainers on someone in the village next #emmerdale."

While a different fan added: "Is the girl who said sorry at the end someone who knows nicola maybe #emmerdale."

After the scenes aired, Emmerdale released a video of Nicola actress, Nicola Wheeler, sharing behind-the-scenes details from the scenes.

She said: "So the girls that attacked Nicola were so lovely, they were, they were a group of young girls and they were ace.

"They were actually quite menacing because we were laughing about because we were all chatting. We were in a car park in Bradford and we'd been warned that there was going to be a heat wave.

"Well, it didn't come to Bradford that day. It was baltic and it was blowing a gale through the carpark. I felt so sorry for these girls because the idea is, they're on an 18th drinking party so they were all in little skirts and barely any clothes. It really was freezing!"
