MONTHS after her assault and its aftermath, Nicola King is ready for her attackers to face justice.
But she gets some heart-breaking news from the police next week in Emmerdale.
The Café Main Street co-owner portrayed by Nicola Wheeler has been trying to overcome the lingering trauma from her attack which has been no easy feat.
Soon after she was brutally beaten and mugged, she suffered from anxiety and what could have been interpreted as agoraphobia as she was terrified to leave her home.
This led to her crashing her car into David Metcalfe's vehicle but, after her struggle, Nicola vowed she would get justice against the gang of teens who attacked her.
In a brave move, she reported them to the police and when she faced Naomi Anderson (played by Karene Peter), recognising her as one of her attackers, she made it clear she'd like her to get comeuppance.

Sadly, her courage won't be rewarded.
Next week, Nicola is close to tears when PC Harriet Finch (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) tells her there's not enough evidence to prosecute the youngster.
Meanwhile, Charles Anderson's long-lost daughter doesn't come clean about her involvement in the attack, prompting Nicola to take matters into her own hands – which leads to conflict in the eponymous village.
The vicar is stunned when Nicola chastises him for his daughter's actions and he's horrified when she threatens to end his career, as well as his partner Manpreet Sharma's.
Nicola is on a rampage in Yorkshire and she confronts Naomi, demanding the truth from her.
