After realising that Naomi (Karene Peter) was part of the gang who attacked her, Emmerdale will see Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) despair, as Naomi refuses to admit to her involvement – and it looks like justice is as far away as ever.
Liv (Isobel Steele), meanwhile, seems to have cottoned on to her mum Sandra (Joanne Mitchell)’s wicked scheme to drive a wedge between her and Vinny (Bradley Johnson) by making her jealous of Vinny and Gabby (Rosie Bentham). So Sandra decides to take another, even more twisted, approach to ruining her daughter’s life.
Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb)’s guilty conscience gets the better of him and he admits to sleeping with someone behind Charity (Emma Atkins)’s back. And it’s someone local.
And there’s further heartbreak for the Dingles as Faith (Sally Dexter)’s symptoms get worse.

Liv is shocked when she sees Gabby and Vinny looking awkward together, but she senses that Sandra is behind it and calls her out about manipulating the situation. Sandra decides to switch up her plan against Liv by getting her recovering alcoholic daughter back on the booze.
Nicola’s frustration drives her to tears as Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) tells her that the police won’t be able to charge Naomi with anything, despite Nicola being convinced that Naomi was one of the girls in the gang that attacked her.
With Naomi refusing to confess, it seems there’s little the police can do.
Mack confesses to Nate (Jurell Carter) that he cheated on Charity with someone local, but refuses to reveal the identity of the mystery woman.

Sandra swaps Liv’s drink for an alcoholic one – leaving Liv mortified that having that single taste of alcohol might be enough to open the door to her alcoholism again. She tries to tell Vinny that she didn’t swallow any of the drink but he catches her out in her lie. He’s shocked when she storms out.
Meanwhile Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) are unhappy with Faith’s latest stunt, when she steals a chameleon from the vet’s to surprise her grandchildren. Faith begs them not to prevent her from making more memories with the grandchildren while she still can, and their hearts break for her.
Thursday September 8
In the usual Thursday double episode, Nate confronts Naomi, saying that she lied about not being involved in the attack on Nicola. Naomi pleads with him to see the real her, but Nate can’t cope with her lies and tells her that their relationship is over, leaving Naomi upset.

Pretending to be a kind and caring mother, Sandra suggests that she and Liv should go on holiday abroad together – where Liv will be entirely under her influence.
There’s a devastatingly upsetting situation for Cain and Faith as they meet to go through Faith’s dying wishes. The distress of the situation causes Faith to believe that Cain is actually Shadrach. As her mind conjures up the fear she had of Shadrach, Cain’s shocked when she comes at him with a frying pan screaming for him to get away.
