Latest Emmerdale spoilers reveal Bob Hope (Tony Audeshaw) suffers a heart attack in the middle of the village – will he survive?
It starts when Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) is stunned when Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) arrives at his house to hand in her resignation, having decided that it is best if they don’t work together any longer. Bob is already wound up about little Archie Breckle (Kai Assi) playing football outside the B&B when he spots Wendy leaving the cottage.
Assuming the affair with Liam is still going on, Bob rushes across and punches Liam in the face, before lobbing Archie’s ball at him. Bob’s friends try to calm him down outside, but they soon panic as Bob suffers a heart attack. Everyone is in a state of shock when Bob leaves the village in the back of an ambulance.
With Bob lying in hospital, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) encourages Brenda Walker (Lesley Dunlop) not to blame Wendy for what has happened. At the hospital, Liam apologises to Bob for the affair. Will Bob be able to forgive him? And is he telling the whole truth about why he has been so wound up in recent weeks?
Elsewhere, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) is apprehensive about collecting his specially adapted car but agrees to get behind the wheel after some badgering from Rhona (Zoe Henry) and Mary Goskirk (Louise Jameson).
Meanwhile, Mary has to attend Faye’s trial and puts a brave face on. Afterwards, Rhona encourages her to get back on the dating scene, and is delighted when Mary reveals that she has organised a date for the following day. Afterwards, however, Mary is cagey about what happened.
An old doll’s house brings back memories for Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) of one she had at her children’s home and she reminisces to Sam Dingle (James Hooton) about her past in care and Toby, the baby she had.
Meanwhile, worried about finances, Lydia asks Kim Tate (Claire King) for more work, but Kim turns her down. Lydia decides to look for a second job and attends the recruitment fair at the Hide. But she’s shaken when she bumps into a man from her past.
Having not seen Lydia since they were at the children’s home, Craig (Ben Addis) is delighted to have found her again.
Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is surprised to hear that Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) has planned a Christening for baby Reuben. But when Chloe worries about the village gossips as well as who the little lad’s godparents will be, she gets upset and cancels arrangements. Mack talks her around and reassures her that their little family is all that they need.
