Emmerdale: Noah and Samson clash over Esther
Amelia Spencer (played by Daisy Campbell) is at the centre of a blackmail storyline with Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) and Noah Dingle (Jack Downham). She has been keen for Samson to get to know his daughter Esther Spencer (Florence Mae Dyson) but is unaware he is blackmailing Noah into giving him money to stay out of their lives. Actress Daisy recently opened up about her future on the ITV soap and explained she has signed another year-long contract for Emmerdale.
Despite having an easier childhood than most, Amelia became pregnant at fifteen after a one-night stand with Samson.
She has since been desperate to try and make a life for herself and Esther, with the actress discussing where she is heading next.
She told The Sun: “I’d love to stay on it for as long as I can. I recently signed for another year and couldn’t be happier.
“But I never take it for granted because you never know when they might kill you off. It can happen to anyone.”
Esther was born during the soap’s hour-long 50th-anniversary episode in October 2022, with the dramatic scenes showing Amelia caught in the windstorm that engulfed the village.
Touching on being involved in such a huge part of the soap anniversary, she added: “When I was first told Amelia was having a baby, I couldn’t believe it because it was a storyline I’d always wanted for my character.
“And then for it to be part of the 50th… I felt really honoured. I was in the show for the big 40th when we did the live episode, but I was only nine. Still being in the show ten years later is just amazing.”
During last night’s episode, Noah confessed to his mother Charity Dingle (Emma Atkinson) he was being blackmailed by Samson.
He expressed: “It’s Samson that’s blackmailing me, he wormed his way into their lives but it’s just a game to him.
“So he can prove how easily he could replace me if he needed to. He said if I didn’t pay up, he’d just take them away from me.”
Furious at the news, Charity shouted: “You’re gonna have to tell Amelia what’s happened. You have to! At least then she’ll understand.”
Noah couldn’t tell Amelia what had happened, explaining: “It’s my word against his, and he’s way smarter than me.

“He knows how to twist things. He said he’d make out I was jealous and controlling. Bring up all that stuff about Chloe saying I’d do the same to her.
“And that’ll just make her hate me even more.”
Charity began to storm out of the house and fumed: “No way is he getting away with this!” but Noah pleaded she didn’t tell Amelia through fear of losing them both.
How will Amelia react when she finds out that Samson has been using his daughter for monetary gain?
Will she forgive Noah for keeping it from her?
