Naomi Walters’ (Karene Peter) arrival to the Emmerdale village has certainly created quite an impact on Charles (Kevin Mathurin) and Ethan Anderson (Emile John) – Naomi’s father and brother.
As the newcomer gets settled into life in the Dales, she turns her attention away from her family for a romance this week – in the form of Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).
Life has not been the same for Nate ever since Tracy (Amy Walsh) and baby Frankie left.
Aware Tracy has now moved on, Nate finds himself falling for Naomi, as actress Karene Peter explains:
‘Naomi is super confident and super flirty when it comes to Nate and hasn’t wasted any time with him whatsoever. So, I think it’s more of a question of is he falling for her, and I think the answer is yes. But they do get along and they hit it off very quickly.
‘I think Nate really enjoys her confidence and I think when they get to know each other it transpires that they have similarities in their displacement within their families. They’ve got a bit of common ground that they can build from. They get along on a friendly level as well, which is great.’
As Naomi and Nate get to know each other, time on cloud nine won’t last for long as we already have confirmation Tracy will return to the village as part of the soap’s 50th anniversary celebrations.
In typical soap style, Nate will probably feel ready to move on with his life – just as his ex pays a visit…who also has some news of her own.
Tracy is only returning temporarily, but what will it mean for Nate and the possibility of a relationship with Naomi?
Will Nate realise he actually hasn’t moved on, at all?
