EMMERDALE'S Nicola King will QUIT the soap after she was subjected to a brutal beating storyline, a theory has claimed.
Nicola King (portrayed by Nicola Wheeler) has been more or less spared from the ups and downs of life in Emmerdale in recent weeks.
But in scenes due to air on the ITV soap next week, Laurel Thomas (played by Charlotte Bellamy) takes it upon herself to push the warring sisters back to one another as they all head out to a bar.
Nicola is mugged, left beaten, bloodied and unmoving after her attack – but a new theory by Express.co.uk suggests it could lead to her departure from the village.
As she heads to bed for the night, a headache could start to brew but she would think this is because of the stress she has endured.
Unfortunately, she might not wake up as the bleed gets worse during the night, resulting in her exit from the weeknight serial drama.

Hollyoaks heartbreak as Luke Morgan dies of dementia
SPOILERS and soap stars alike have confirmed that Gary Lucy is set for an emotional exit while his on-screen alter ego battles dementia.
Many Hollyoaks viewers couldn’t hold back their tears as they discovered Luke Morgan’s final scenes online.
Luke Morgan (played by Gary Lucy) has been one of Hollyoaks longest-standing residents, making his first appearance in the Chester village in March, 1999.
He’s formed heart-warming bonds over the years before committing to the love of his life Cindy Cunningham (played by Stephanie Waring).

Many of them expressed their heartbreak by swarming over to social media.
“Wow I just finished Hollyoaks, I was not expecting Luke to go like that”, one fan wrote on Twitter.
A second added: “Hollyoaks playing that montage of Luke after he fell to his death was pure evil.”

Emmerdale fans demand bosses AXE ‘pathetic’ drug plot

A third fan complained: “This Leyla drug storyline”, adding sleeping emojis along with a gif of Chandler Bing from Friends falling asleep.
Another viewer jumped in: “Even by Emmerdale’s recent standards, these Leyla & David storylines are ludicrous.”
“This Leyla storyline is pathetic”, a fifth penned, “There’s too many druggies and alcoholics in Emmerdale.”
One final fan fumed: “This Leyla/Lola story is bloody pathetic.”
