Emmerdale: Craig gets arrested
In recent scenes in Emmerdale, Sam Dingle (played by James Hooton) was left reeling after Lydia (Karen Blick) revealed Craig Reed (Ben Addis) had raped her.
Despite having no evidence of what happened, Lydia felt relieved when she went to the police to explain what had happened to her.
However, the Dingle favourite has been pushing her husband away as she struggles to deal with the horrific ordeal.
Poor helpless Sam ended up turning to Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), who told him they needed to deal with Craig in the “Dingle way”.
In upcoming scenes, the Dingle family is set to take centre stage as Lydia questions everyone on what happened on the night of Craig’s death.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk and other press, James Hooton opened up about the storyline and how his character is hiding more than he is letting on.
In official spoilers released by ITV, Sam and Cain end up holding Craig hostage by taking him to a remote barn and leaving him tied up.
Jeff Hordley has already admitted Cain has it in him to kill, but could Sam end up turning on Craig because of what he did to Lydia?
And in doing so, would Cain end up taking the fall for him, knowing Sam wouldn’t cope in prison?

Speaking about whether Sam has it in him to kill, James teased: “It’s an existential and philosophical question, isn’t it?
“Do any of us have it within us to kill? I would say that any one of us in this room… in any room, given the right circumstances has it within us to kill.”
Discussing how quickly it unfolds after Craig’s death, the soap star went on: “Without a shadow of a doubt, Craig’s body is found and it’s reported to the police.
“Quite obviously, from the police’s point of view, they want to eliminate anyone from their inquiries that had any axe to grind or potential reason for killing Craig.”
“If he has indeed been killed, of course,” he added.
Turning his attention to Cain and Sam holding Craig hostage, James said: “The spotlight is on various individuals throughout various episodes and it centres around the idea that the 12 Dingles in the room are conceding some kind of secret which may or may not lead to Lydia discovering who has actually killed Craig.”
Script Laura Shaw also revealed a beloved character would end up in prison in upcoming scenes.
She shared: “We have got tragedy striking one family in the New Year. We have one or two of our villagers getting into very serious trouble.”
“At least one of which may end up in prison, but we will see,” she added.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
