No soap wedding ever goes without a hitch and for Emmerdale's Tracy Metcalfe, played by Amy Walsh, this was exactly the case.
Moira, played by Natalie J Robb, and Cain, played by Jeff Hordley, discover that Nate is heading to town hall and know he's up to no good. Wondering if he is going to fight for custody of his daughter, Frankie, the pair worry and follow him, before realising that he's actually going to crash Tracy's wedding after spotting her in a wedding dress.
But for an actress, Amy admits that although it "was chaos" reflecting on the dramatic filming scenes, it's great having everyone together on set.
She continued: "She’s really got form for those crazy weddings but obviously they’re way more fun to play than your average wedding day, so it was fun."
"Cain and Moira are there, Nate’s there, Frankie’s there and it doesn’t quite go to plan, let’s say. It was another chaotic wedding day for Tracy, which I only realised afterwards how bad her wedding to David was as well."
Amy hasn't long returned to the soap after heading off on maternity leave to have her baby girl Bonnie, in 2021. She briefly returned to the soap last October to join in with the soap's 50th anniversary celebrations and Faith Dingle's final storyline but she finally feels ready for her fulltime return.
Amy, who celebrated her hen do at the weekend in London alongside her close family and friends including Girls Aloud big sister Kimberley Walsh, is engaged to actor Toby-Alexander Smith, who plays EastEnders villain Gray Atkins. The handsome bad guy proposed to Amy in Ibiza in a shock proposal.
Adjusting to being a working mum has been a harder pill to swallow for the actress than she first imagined as she laughs that she "thought I used to be tired."
She also reflected on how tricky a new routine can be. She said: "The hours that you're here – you'll leave at 7 and be back in the building at 7 the next morning. In that time, you've got to bath your child and put them to bed, make dinner and then do your lines for the next day."
Feisty character Tracy has been down the aisle before, marrying David in 2016, which was equally dramatic from the start. It was touch and go from the beginning with David nearly cancelling the whole ceremony because Tracy was late. She had already rejected him numerous times so he assumed she had cold feet when she was nowhere to be seen.
The marriage ended though when she discovered he'd been having an affair with Leyla Harding, played by Roxi Shahidi.
Tracy has always had an eventful time on the soap from being kidnapped by her father, cars breaking down and her car falling into a river but fans will be over the moon to have her back on our screens.
