Emmerdale: Bob and Bernice discuss keeping the B&B cost down
In scenes set to air in Emmerdale, Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) opens up to Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) as they try to rekindle the friendship they lost since the launch of their B&B.
In official spoilers released by ITV, Bernice leans in to kiss Bob, but he quickly rejects her advances.
Reacting to their ever-growing chemistry and flirtation, Bernice is mortified when a flustered Bob flees the room.
Meanwhile, unbeknown to Bob, Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) also gets caught up in the moment and ends up sharing a passionate kiss with Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson).
However, Bob and Bernice’s business could be put in jeopardy if both of their betrayals are exposed.
In a new interview with Express.co.uk and other press, the actors who play Bob and Bernice opened up about their latest storyline and how it will affect their character’s friendship and business.
Samantha admitted Bernice does “have genuine feelings” for Bob despite feeling lonely.
However, when asked whether Bob has feelings for Bernice, Tony replied: “It is hard to say really.
“He always says he has found her attractive and I think he loves the fact she is so feisty and he loves being told what to do.”

Speaking about whether Bob’s relationship with Wendy has “gone stale”, the soap star continued: “I’d say so, yeah.
“it is interesting because Bob is the most boring man on earth. Bob has started going bird watching and going out for a coffee is exciting for him.
“He is getting older and less interesting in life so it is a gradual thing that happens in life.”
Turning her attention to being rejected and how the B&B is getting bad reviews, the Bernice Blackstock star added: “He’s very different to any man she has gone for before, isn’t he?
“The near-kiss… so they are trying out wines because they’re having so many bad reviews for the B&B and everyone’s saying the wine is disgusting.
“So Bob takes it into his own hands and gets a load of wine and sort of persuades her under duress.
“And of course, she doesn’t want to do the spitting into the bucket thing and so she starts drinking it.
“She sort of goes towards him thinking that it would be a moment to kiss and then he sort of pulls away very abruptly, and she is left with egg on her face really.”
Bernice has been hurt by several men in the past, and so, Bob’s rejection could also end up ruining their working relationship – and could she end up losing her beloved B&B as a result?
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
