Emmerdales Charles Anderson star shares way soap bosses tell cast if theyre being killed off

Emmerdale's Charles Anderson actor Kevin Mathurin has revealed the way bosses tell cast members if their characters are set to be killed off on the hit ITV soap.

The actor, 49, first joined the village in 2020 as Vicar Charles and has since been part of several explosive storylines.

Currently, Kevin's character Charles is part of the ITV soap's 50th anniversary storm week, where the vicar is currently lost and stranded in the woods with Nicola King.

Discussing the scenes, Kevin has revealed how he knew his character Charles wouldn't be killed off in the explosive episodes.

Talking to The Sun, he said: "If you don't get an email or you don't get a call, then you're alright."

It comes as Emmerdale fans were left devastated on Monday night as Harriet Finch died after she was caught in a deadly storm explosion with Kim Tate during the ITV soap's 50th anniversary.

A devastated Kim, who was left bloodied from the accident, confirmed the news to her new-husband and Harriet's ex, Will Taylor, after making her way home.

The news left Will, as well as his daughter Dawn Fletcher, who was previously Harriet's stepdaughter, devastated as they asked why she left her.

To which Kim replied: "There was nothing I could do, I'm so sorry, she's dead!"

Elsewhere, fans were left horrified on Monday as the episode ended with Sam Dingle's lifeless body on a tractor spike after attempting to escape a cow stampede.

Tuesday's episode saw Sam still trapped while Liv and Vinny Dingle were left lifeless after being crushed by a caravan during the village's terrifying storm.
