Emmerdale's Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) gets it on with his dad's ex Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) next week.
David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) asks Jacob to make his excuses on a second date he accidentally agreed to in upcoming scenes. Feeling for Abby, David’s date, Jacob offers to have a drink with her as a jealous Victoria watches on. As Jacob sees Abby off, the chemistry sizzles between him and Victoria and it’s not long before the two are locked in a passionate kiss.
Coming to her senses, Victoria quickly pulls away and hurries off, but Jacob’s left thrilled. Later, David is struck with a glimmer of hope when he hears Victoria’s words of comfort as something more.

When Jacob collars Victoria she can’t bring herself to let him leave and Jacob seizes the chance and lunges in for a kiss. The next day, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) attempts to get David to move on but he is unable to get his mind off Victoria. He sets off on a mission to start repairing bridges.
Having spent the night together, Jacob and Victoria are shocked when David arrives unannounced. After an awkward interaction, Victoria manages to get rid of David who’s left bemused at how things went down. Jacob’s relieved to hear that David is accepting things with Victoria are over but once he leaves it’s clear that’s not actually the case.
Things are starting to get serious between Jacob and Victoria and Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) is suspicious of Jacob’s secret girlfriend; this isn’t destined to end well.
Elsewhere in the village, Ryan Stocks (James Sutton) is devastated when he receives the news that he’s not a match for his son Oscar. Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) comforts a crushed Ryan but the relief is palpable when a frantic Gail Loman (Racheal Gill-Davis) rushes in to announce that, against all the odds, she and Oscar are a match.
The following day, Gail prepares to see Oscar ahead of the surgery but Ryan worries about meeting his son for the first time. At the hospital, Gail and Oscar get on a storm but an awkward Ryan hangs back feeling the odd one out.

When the conversation turns to music, relieved Ryan finds a way in. Watching on, Sophie (Martha Cope) is conflicted about the bond that is starting to form.
Back at the Woolpack, Marlon reminds Gail to tread carefully around Oscar’s adoptive mother. The importance of the surgery starts to dawn on them. and a nervous Ryan supports Gail as he sees her off into the operation. They are both hopeful that they can now be a part of Oscar’s life but is this the case?
