Emmerdale: Rishi and Jai argue over adoption
In upcoming scenes on Emmerdale, Laurel Thomas (played by Charlotte Bellamy) tries to improve relations between Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) and Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson).
Jai’s dismissive, but Rishi is hopeful for a reconciliation with his son on the ITV soap.
Will he find a way to rebuild his relationship with Jai following the bombshell news he recently received?
Last week, Jai discovered he was adopted after he found adoption papers which showed Rishi wasn’t his biological father.
His partner Laurel was concerned Jai would revert back to taking drugs as a way to cope, but he lashed out at Rishi.
Rishi insisted Jai’s mum gave birth to him and his father was mistaken for a one-night stand.
He told Jai his biological father had vanished before he was even born, but Jai felt Rishi was keeping information from him.
Rishi warned Jai against calling his mother, which just added to his suspicions.
Jai’s mum Georgia Sharma (Trudie Goodwin) left the village in 2015 following an affair with Rodney Blackstock (Patrick Mower).

However, Emmerdale bosses have confirmed viewers will see her return to the soap, with EastEnders actress Lin Blakley taking over from Trudie.
Lin said: “How lucky am I to play such a strong character as Georgia? So different from the roles I’ve played of late.
“I have enjoyed every single minute. Gorgeous cast and crew!! And the gorgeous Dales. Thank you Emmerdale.”
